The Ravens got a boost to their special teams on Tuesday with the activation of Brynden Trawick from injured reserve. Trawick injured his elbow in Week 2 against the Cardinals while covering a punt.

He was inactive for the following two weeks before being placed on injured reserve with a return designation. He's the second of two players to return from IR for the Ravens this year. The other is rookie cornerback Iman Marshall, who returned to the active roster in Week 11.

Baltimore waived safety Bennett Jackson on Monday, who was re-claimed by the Jets on Tuesday, to make room for Trawick.

Trawick spent 2013-2016 in Baltimore before he left for Tennessee and Oakland.

A special teams standout, Trawick will likely be expected to be an immediate contributor on all phases of special teams. He played just three defensive snaps in the first two weeks of the season before his injury.
