OXFORD -- Ole Miss and volleyball coach Steve McRoberts are mutually parting ways, according to a release from the university.

McRoberts led the Rebels to a 14-15 season this year. All 14 wins were consecutive, with the Rebels started the season on a three-game losing streak and ending on a 12-game losing streak. In six seasons, McRoberts posted a 111-82 record and led the Rebels to an NIVC Championship in 2017.

"Coach McRoberts represented Ole Miss with class and integrity over the past six years," Ole Miss athletics director Keith Carter said in his statement. "He made tremendous contributions to our program and to the lives of our student-athletes, and we wish him the best as he moves forward."

McRoberts said in his statement that he's grateful for the opportunity he's had in Oxford and is thankful to those who have helped him along the way.

"I'm sorry that I couldn't get the program up to the level it needed to be," McRoberts said. "Thank you to Lynnette and Ross for giving me this opportunity. I know that God has a greater plan for me. My family and I love Oxford and Ole Miss, and we will always have fond memories of being here."

Ole Miss has had a volleyball program since 1976. The Rebels have appeared in three NCAA Tournaments in 2006, 2007 and 2010.
