In a normal fortnight fewer than 10,000 complaints are received.

More than 2,000 people complained about BBC Breakfast erroneously broadcasting archive footage of Boris Johnson placing a wreath at the Cenotaph.

The reasons for objecting was because they claimed it was an attempt to present him in a positive light.

Another 2,494 objections were received when audience laughter directed at Mr Johnson during the Question Time Leaders Special was edited out of a later news bulletin.
