House Democrats are moving ahead with impeachment hearings which have now moved to the Judiciary Committee, where legal experts on Wednesday are expected to testify about impeachment.

The Democratic-led committee is then expected to draw up articles of impeachment soon after, furthering the long-discussed plan by Democrats to vote to impeach the president.

The White House, meanwhile, says the process "violates all past historical precedent, basic due process rights, and fundamental fairness."

Gary Bauer of the Campaign for Working Families tells OneNewsNow he is not surprised polls show waning support for impeachment.

President Trump on Tuesday called the impeachment push "unpatriotic" and repeated his complaint that it amounts to a "hoax" that is purely political.

"They're going to see whether or not they can do something in 2020," Trump said of Democrats, "because otherwise they're going to lose."

Bauer says the real danger for Democrats is the swing-state lawmakers who support impeachment.
