No country can single-handedly counter the problems that exist in the world today, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, said on Tuesday at the Kuala Lumpur (KL) Summit.

"We have strong cultural and religious ties with countries that are present in the summit," he said.

He also acknowledged that Pakistan plans on further strengthening ties with countries who were part of the summit.

"No country can face the problems that exist today, by itself," he said.

Qureshi emphasised that countries should form a joint strategy to tackle the challenges that they face in terms of Islamophobia, terrorism and environment.

"We should utilize our potential for collective development and prosperity," he added.
