The hustings, designed to give all of the Parliamentary candidates for Leeds North West a change to explain their plans for tackling climate change, will now take place on Saturday, December 7.

Proceedings will get underway at Otley Town Partnership's upstairs room, on Mercury Row, at 2pm and finish at 3.30pm.

Town Councillor Mick Bradley, who has organised the event, said he wished to apologise to anyone who could not be notified in time and so turned out for the first, cancelled hustings.

Referring to the terrorist attack in London, which left two people dead, he said: "This was an attack on our democracy.

" It seems only proper that the hustings should be rearranged, with the co-operation of all five candidates.

"Please attend and ask your questions about this important issue."
