NAMIBIA finished fifth overall at the Africa Men's Sevens Rugby tournament in Johannesburg on Saturday.

After winning one and losing two of their group matches on Friday, Namibia beat Senegal 38-19 on Saturday morning to qualify for the fifth place play-off where they comfortably beat Zambia.

Kenya, meanwhile, won the gold medal and qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games after beating Uganda 29-0 in the final. As the losing finalists, Uganda still have a chance to qualify for the Olympics at an international repechage tournament.

In the semifinals on Saturday, Kenya beat Madagascar 40-14, while Uganda beat Zimbabwe 21-12.

Zimbabwe won the bronze medal after beating Madagascar 24-7 in the third place playoff.

The other positional play-off results were as follows:

Seventh place: Senegal 14-12 Nigeria

Ninth place: Ghana 33-10 Morocco

Eleventh place: Tunisia 19-14 Ivory Coast

Thirteenth place: Mauritius 31-0 Botswana
