Roxy Jacenko has revealed she is 'lucky to be here' after turning to drugs and alcohol while her husband Oliver Curtis was in jail for insider trading in 2016.
In an interview on The Project on Wednesday, the 39-year-old publicist admitted that she 'indulged in things' and 'drunk herself into a stupor' while being a single parent to two young children and also dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis.
'I lost my marbles entirely. I think for me, how I was living was a mechanism to deal with it. I had to go to work, I was running four businesses, I had the two kids on my own,' she said, reflecting on her life while Oliver was behind bars.

'I was a single-income earner and I had to put on this facade that everything's cool. I used the wrong ways of dealing with the situation,' she added.
Roxy explained that she was living 'what she thought was her best life' and felt that substance abuse and partying were the only ways to deal with stress.
'I was living like I was 18 years old and indulging in things that, you know... I look back and think I'm lucky to be sitting here,' she confessed.

'I didn't feel like I could talk about the fact that the wheels were falling off so instead I drunk myself into a stupor more often than not. Drugs and alcohol. I'm not proud of it.'
Last year, Roxy revealed that her weight had also plummeted to a dangerously low 49kg at one point around 2016 and 2017.
She told Daily Mail Australia: 'I recall going to mum's place on a Tuesday for family dinner and her forcing food on me. There is no doubt I had a problem [with eating].'

During this difficult time, Roxy regularly shared photos of herself to Instagram and fans would often compliment her on her slender physique.
She said: 'It's funny how when people say you are looking "great" even though you are well on your way to being skin and bone that you buy into it and keep trying to get slimmer!
'I was in a really bad place and while I had a four-pack, which I thought was fantastic, realistically I was starving myself.'
