Fort Myers Police responded to a carjacking at the intersection of Colonial Boulevard and Six-Mile Cypress on Wednesday.

Witnesses said a black male in his mid- to late 20s wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants ran up to a dark brown 2014 Honda CRV, shot out the window and ordered the driver out of the vehicle.

The driver was not injured.

The car had a Mickey Mouse soccer ball antenna topper with a license plate beginning with EAZ, according to a news release.

Witnesses say the carjacking happened about 11:30 a.m.

Witnesses said that the man was driving at speeds exceeding 100 mph.

Police say the car was last seen heading north on Interstate 75.
