It's time to pull out those cowboy boots! 9-1-1: Lone Star, the upcoming spin-off to Fox's procedural drama 9-1-1, just found an impressive leading lady.
Deadline reports that Liv Tyler has been cast opposite Rob Lowe as the female lead of 9-1-1: Lone Star. Set in Austin, Texas, this spin-off will follow the same format as its predecessor, this time focusing on the day-to-day drama of civil servants in the Lone Star state.
Tyler will take on the role of Chief Paramedic Michelle Blake, who is described as "a little rock-n-roll, sometimes a bad girl, but always boss." Don't let that bad-girl image fool you though; Michelle is also capable of deep compassion and sharp wit, which will serve her well in her dealings with the show's other lead character, a New York firefighter named Owen (Lowe). But everyone has a dark side, and Michelle's happens to be an obsession with unraveling her little sister Iris' disappearance two years ago.
This will mark Tyler's first broadcast TV role, with her previous credits belong to cable series The Leftovers and streaming drama Harlots.
9-1-1: Lone Star premieres Sunday, Jan. 19 on Fox following the NFC Championship Game. The drama will then move to Mondays at 9/8c on Fox.Liv Tyler, The Leftovers" data-image-credit="" data-image-alt-text="Liv Tyler, The Leftovers" data-image-credit-url="" data-image-target-url="" data-image-title="Liv Tyler, The Leftovers" data-image-filename="190911-liv-tyler-leftovers.jpg" data-image-date-created="2019/09/11" data-image-crop="" data-image-crop-gravity="" data-image-aspect-ratio="" data-image-height="1380" data-image-width="2070" data-image-do-not-crop="" data-image-do-not-resize="" data-image-watermark="" data-lightbox="">
