Joe Perry staged a fine comeback to knock out world number five Judd Trump in the last 16 of the UK Championship.

Cambridgeshire potter Perry won three frames in a row, including a 136 break to seal the match, as he beat the 2011 winner 6-4 at the York Barbican.

Perry will now play Tom Ford in the quarter-finals on Friday.

A shock is also brewing on the other table in Thursday's afternoon session, with Martin O'Donnell 5-3 up on two-time champion Ding Junhui.
